We take the protection of your personal data seriously. This policy explains what data we collect when you book or contact us, and your rights under the GDPR.

2. What data we collect
When you make a booking or enquiry we collect the data you provide: first and last name, e-mail address, telephone number, postal address, number of guests, your arrival/departure dates and any message or special requests. For payments, card data is processed exclusively by our payment provider — we never see or store full card numbers.
3. Why we use it
- To process and confirm your booking and to fulfil the rental contract.
- To communicate with you about your stay (check-in details, questions).
- To comply with legal obligations (tax records, mandatory guest registration with the authorities).
The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (performance of a contract) and Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR (legal obligation).
4. Sharing
We only share data where necessary: with our payment provider to process the card payment and deposit pre-authorisation, and with the competent Portuguese authorities (SEF/AIMA tourist registration) where legally required. We do not sell your data or use it for advertising.
5. Retention
We keep booking data for as long as necessary to provide the service and to meet legal retention periods (in particular tax law). After that, data is deleted.
6. Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and to object. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at contact@algarveluxvillas.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority (in Portugal: CNPD).
7. Cookies & hosting
This website uses only the storage strictly necessary to remember your chosen language. We use map tiles (OpenStreetMap) and fonts which may log your IP address as part of normal server operation. No tracking or advertising cookies are set.
